THE PROCESS
STEP ONE
We highly recommend booking your hair and makeup trial as soon as you can. Most brides book 6-12 months from their wedding day.
STEP TWO
After you've booked your trial, begin to gather inspirational images for your dream hair and makeup look. Show us your Pinterest board or saved social media pictures at your trial!
STEP THREE
Day of your trial: Prepare for your hair trial by washing and completely drying your hair the evening or morning of. Blow out your hair 1 day before using a root lifter + mousse or styling product. At your hair trial, we are just styling your hair and need to work with a clean canvas. Prepare for your makeup trial with a fresh and moisturized face. No makeup, please. Bring any bridal accessories such as your veil or hair accessory. Block us off for 1.5-2.5 hours of your day. This will be an involved process where we will be communicating and carefully creating your wedding day look. You may want to consider hair extensions depending on the look you would like to achieve. Your trial is a time where we "try out" what may look best on you and provide suggestions and note what colors, products, and styles look best on you. Please note we can tweak the details of your look on your wedding day.
STEP FOUR
Trial discussion: We will discuss; the day-of bridal party/bridesmaid services. Please come to your trial with an approximate idea of how many people will need our services. We will go over the wedding day morning timeline, hair prep, and how to start a skin care routine to get your skin ready and glowing for your big day.
STEP FIVE
After your trial: Pay attention to how your hair/makeup feels and holds up throughout the day or evening. Take into consideration what you love about your look. IF you would like to try an alternate look we can set up a second trial. Please contact us the next day/24 hours after your trial so we may schedule and secure your artist for your second trial.
STEP SIX
We'll stay in touch: Communication is key. Email us (hello@kathleenbenjamin.com) with any questions leading up to your wedding day. We can even provide hair and makeup for your bridal shower, bachelorette, and rehearsal dinner.
